The Parent FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

The fundraising committee works to assist The Independence Academy in its mission of promoting the school and expanding our community outreach and collaborative partnerships. IA hosts two major fundraising events each year, along with smaller initiatives. The gala committee assists in acquiring silent auction donations, seeking corporate sponsorships, preparing decorations, and set up the event.

 

The Parent Social Committee

The social committee works to coordinate all student social events throughout the school year. This includes holiday and end-of-year parties along with the Winter Program. The committee is responsible for signing up parent volunteers and assigning duties for various social events. Assignments typically include food and beverage, games and decorations.

 

Teacher Appreciation COMMITTEE

The teacher appreciation committee is responsible for making plans for teacher recognition throughout the school year, collecting donations as needed and determining a budget for spending on items for teachers and staff. The committee coordinates all activities with IA to make sure functions work well with the school schedule.
